The Tuareg Union officially the United Tuareg Tribal Republic, abbreviated as the UTTR, was a nation-state in the Sahara region of Africa that existed from 2061 to 2125.
The Tuareg Union was formed during the Refreeze when the Sahara terraforming project of the Earth Working Group neared completion. Several local leaders who'd cooperated with the EWG met in a tribal council where they declared that their people had a sovereign claim to this land when it was considered worthless and they would exercise that claim now that it was valuable.
The Tuareg Union formally ended in 2125 after the Treaty of Tripoli and was reconstituted into the Tuareg Federation, having lost its southern territory to separatist groups during the Sahara War.
